Preparing for Your Colonoscopy
A successful colonoscopy starts with proper preparation. Follow the bowel preparation plan given to you for your appointment, as a clear bowel allows your physician to thoroughly examine the lining. Before making any changes to your current medications, please inform the clinic about your allergies, other relevant medical concerns, health conditions, and seek advice.
During the procedure, our care team will provide sedation and closely monitor you throughout the whole procedure. For your safety, please arrange for a responsible adult to escort you home after the procedure and adhere to the discharge instructions provided.
While colonoscopies are generally safe, there are risks such as bleeding, perforation, and sedation-related complications. Rest assured, your physician will discuss these with you beforehand.
