Dr. Rai is an established and highly skilled trauma surgeon with over 25 years of experience in Endoscopy. He is well-regarded in the community, earning numerous accolades for his quality and patient-centred care. Dr. Rai performed over 5,000 procedures just last year and is one of the highest-volume endoscopists in Canada.
Dr. Rai is committed to a personalized approach to advanced diagnostics, providing each patient with the highest quality clinical treatment while maintaining their dignity. Dr. Rai and his associates foster approachable and personal patient care while delivering advanced digestive screening that could save their lives. Recognizing that having a colonoscopy can be frightening, they ensure that each patient is at ease and well-prepared, regardless of the outcome.
Dr. Rai received his medical degree from Queens University and his Board Certification and training in Critical Care and General Surgery from the University of Toronto. Aside from this role, Dr. Rai is a general surgeon in Acute Care Surgery at Trillium Health Partners.
Dr. Rai is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC), the American Board of Surgery (FACS), the Canadian Association of General Surgeons (CAGS), and the Ontario Association of General Surgeons (OAGS).
Dr. Rai takes great pride in being on Faculty at the University of Toronto. He is known to be a superb teacher and contributes to the teaching of medical students and surgical trainees.
